Intimacy

from script to screen

Stefanie Sycholt

You want to craft beautiful, authentic, emotional intimate scenes for movies and series?

Let me help you …

Sadly the writing of intimate scenes in screenplays is often rudimentary and totally inadequate. Sometimes not more gets said than They kiss. They make love. They tear each other’s clothes off … And yet intimate scenes can reveal so much more about character, drive conflict, and be a building block of the developing narrative.
Be brave and write that part of the story!

On set, there are stunt coordinators for action scenes, for anything requiring the human body to perform unusual, difficult movements authentically. And yet often in the filming of intimate scenes actors are still asked to just go for it … But since the introduction of Intimacy Coordinators to sets the world over we have witnessed far more original, authentic and nuanced intimacy on screen.
Be a part of that transformation and create better intimacy for film and series!

If done well, intimate scenes can be the most authentically human, even as they develop and propel the narrative forward.
